Working to assure that the gasoline lines of the 1970's don't become the food lines of the new millennium. Clifford
J. DeMay -- Williamson, New York . U.S. Grown was founded by Clifford DeMay. He is the President of
U.S. Grown,
LLC., and the owner of DeMay Labor – a licensed Farm Labor Contractor
(U.S. and New York licenses) that provides farm labor for farmers, food
processors, and other groups in the Northeast sector of the United
States. Mr. DeMay was previously the Farm Division Manager
for
Seneca Foods Farms, and managed this food conglomerate’s farm
activities for fifteen years, starting with a 300 acre fruit farm, and
ending with a 3000 acre fruit farm (apples, cherries,
peaches).
He has owned his own fruit farm since 1965 through to the present.
Through
his involvement with the farm sector, the farm worker sector, the
migrant worker housing sector, and the food processing sector, Mr.
DeMay has come to know many farmers, farm workers, and food processing
firms, and has listened to their stories and concerns about the future
of the food sector in the United States.
Herman Franck, Esq.
-- Sacramento, California. Herman Franck is a
Sacramento
based lawyer and assists Mr. DeMay on the business development and
strategic planning activities of U.S. Grown and serves as Director of
Business Development. Mr. Franck has experience in developing
agribusiness projects. He is a graduate of the Georgetown
University Law Center (Juris Doctor, 1985), and holds a Master of Arts
in Economics (Georgetown University, 1985). He is a graduate of the
University of California at Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts (honors)
Political Economy (1981). Mr. Franck is a member of the California
State Bar, and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme
Court.
Diane McKeon -- Williamson, New York. Diane McKeon
is Vice President, Business Development for U.S. Grown. She was
previously a Deputy Sheriff for Wayne County New York. Diane McKeon has
been instrumental in bringing U.S. Grown from concept to reality. Diane is in
charge of
the design and distribution of the U.S. Grown label.
Joyce Urban
-- Williamson, New York. Joyce Urban is Office Manager and
Technical Support for U.S. Grown. She was previously a
Technical
Delivery Team Manager for Electronic Data Systems supporting the Xerox
Account in Webster, NY.
Randy Williamson -- Tierra Verde, Florida. Randy Williamson is U.S. Grown’s Financial Adviser. Randy attended Colorado State University. From there he worked in his family's Rochester, NY based contracting business eventually purchasing it from his retiring father. As President of ABS Building Systems, he grew his local company from fifty employees to six hundred, with ten locations throughout the northeast. In 2001, he merged with an Ohio based company forming a national network of over 100 locations. He has since served as the Eastern Regional President. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Rochester Home Builders Association. Randy is the President of RJ & WE Inc. a commercial real-estate development company with properties in Upstate New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Florida. Randy has recently received the prestigious Class A General Contractors’ License for the State of Florida. Outside of work, Randy enjoys scuba diving, skiing and spending time with his four children.
